Watercolor Painting Class

September 18, 25, October 2, 9, 16, and 23. A watercolor class for
everyone on all levels wanting to learn new techniques and paint the buildings and landscapes
of Historic Zoar Village. Class meets every Thursday from 3-5pm for 6 weeks in the Historic
Zoar Schoolhouse. Instructor Jack Fetzer from Canton, Ohio, will lead you through the basics
of materials layout and design, and watercolor painting techniques. Cost for the six-week class is
$60.

Civil War School Day

What will you discover at Civil War School Day?

Intermediate Blacksmith Class

Must have completed the Beginning Blacksmithing Class to register. Students will spend all day at the forge working on a project to take home. Project may include, leaf work, fullering, horseshoes, fire poker or rake, paper towel or bathroom tissue holder. Please bring a sack lunch. Cost is $125/participant. Zoar Chair Class

Participants will build a plank chair with a removable back based on the model of a chair built in Zoar. Tools taught and used include coping saw, hand plane, back saw, chisel, brace and bit, and cabinet scraper. The final product will not be stained or finished. Cost of the class includes all instruction, materials, and unfinished chair. Registration required by calling 330-874-3011. Class limited to eight participants. Instructor for the class is Dave Whitling.

Ghost Tours

Stroll through the haunted village and buildings of Zoar. Costumed guides lead the tours and tell tales of spirits past and present. You may even encounter spirits from the past as you visit the buildings. Tours leave at 6:30, 6:45, 7:00, 7:15, 7:30. Reservations required by calling 330-874-3011. $15/adult, $10/child.
