Internships

Historic Zoar Village and the Fort Laurens Museum now offer an internship program. This program is customizable to fit the various needs of the student or graduate. Internships are available at the following levels: junior or senior in high school, vocational school, or homeschool, or undergraduate or graduate student in university or college. Students can obtain college credits through supervisor and professor approval. Standard internships will be ten weeks in length with an average of 8 hours per week. The duration and hours per day can be customized per individual.   All completed internships will result in a letter of recommendation for the student.

Please email a cover letter including current academic level, writing sample, a letter of recommendation from a teacher or professor, and if interested in receiving academic credit please provide the requirements/guidelines of the program to zoarinfo@historiczoarvillage.com.

Historic Zoar Village and the Fort Laurens Museum will offer internships in the categories listed at the end of this letter. If you are interested in another project or if you wish to submit a proposal for a customizable internship, please send proposals to zoarinfo@historiczoarvillage.com.

Duties for each internship will vary. Interns may choose to work in more than one subcategory or blend categories and subcategories with supervisor approval as fits their career goals.
