Descendant’s Day in Zoar is a lively community celebration honoring the historical heritage of the Zoar community. Held annually, this event gathers descendants of the Separatists of Zoar to celebrate their shared history with a variety of activities. Descendants can enjoy guided tours of the historic buildings including the Bimeler Cabin, guest speakers, and opportunities to connect with family members and fellow history enthusiasts. It’s a vibrant blend of remembrance and festivity, highlighting the enduring legacy of Zoar’s founding families.

Date: October 12 from 1:00pm-4:00pm

Add on option for $30 per person- dinner at Canal Tavern of Zoar limit to 32 people. Dinner begins at 5:00pm. ZCA reserves the right to cancel the dinner if capacity is not met.
Add on option for $12 per person- Ghost Tour at 7:00pm. Must register for Descendant’s day for this price.

Dinner Description: Join us for a spine-tingling evening at the Canal Tavern of Zoar! Our Ghost Tour Themed Dinner invites you to dine in an atmosphere steeped in history and mystery. Whether you’re a history buff, a ghost enthusiast, or simply looking for a unique dining experience, the evening promises a night of delicious food and chilling stories. Dare to join us, if you’re brave enough! This family style dinner includes ghostly themed appetizers, salad, entrée, sides, and devil’s food cake.
