Become an intern or volunteer
Historic Zoar Village and the Fort Laurens Museum now offer an internship program. This program can be personalized to fit the various needs of the student. Internships are available at the following levels: junior or senior in high school, vocational school, or homeschool, or undergraduate or graduate student in university or college. Students can obtain college credits through supervisor and professor approval. Standard internships will be ten weeks in length with an average of 8 hours per week. The duration and hours per day can be tailored to the intern’s needs. All completed internships will result in a letter of recommendation for the student.
Please email a cover letter that includes current academic level, a writing sample, a letter of recommendation from a teacher or professor, and, if interested in receiving academic credit, the requirements or guidelines of the program to zoarinfo@historiczoarvillage.com.
Historic Zoar Village and the Fort Laurens Museum will offer internships in the listed categories. If you are interested in another project or if you wish to submit a proposal for a personalized internship, please send proposals to zoarinfo@historicalzoarvillage.com.
Duties for each internship will vary. Interns may choose to work in more than one subcategory or blend categories and subcategories with supervisor approval to fit their career goals.
