Join us September 19, 2025 from 9am-2pm for Civil War School Day.
Step back in time and explore life during the Civil War in the historic village of Zoar. Discover how the Zoar Separatists and Union citizens experienced the era, with interactive displays and living history throughout the village.
Meet notable Civil War figures like Abraham and Mary Todd Lincoln, John Parker, and others. Enjoy live cavalry and artillery demonstrations, learn about daily life on the home front, and take part in engaging, hands-on activities.
This educational event is open to public, private, and homeschool students. Schools and homeschool co-op groups are encouraged to contact us in advance to register.
Cost for this event is $10 a student. One adult per group is free, each additional adult is $10, and all teachers are free. Children 5 and under are also free. All proceeds go toward the preservation and educational efforts of Historic Zoar Village.
