Magazine

The structure attached to the Dining Room, Kitchen, and Laundry is the Magazine, the storehouse for the village. Inside, shelves were numbered to correspond with the house members throughout town. On Fridays, articles that were made outside Zoar, such as soap, coffee, tea, spices, sugar, salt, candles, and matches, were distributed from the Magazine. Butter was also distributed here instead of at the Dairy.
