This guided tour highlights the canal’s vital role in the growth of Zoar, a thriving communal village. Learn how the canal shaped commerce, travel, and daily life in the 19th century, and discover the stories that connect these historic landmarks along this peaceful stretch of trail.

Play Ball! Step back in time and enjoy an old-fashioned vintage baseball game as the Zoar Stars take on the Ohio Village Muffins! Played by 19th-century rules, this fun and family-friendly matchup brings history to life with authentic uniforms, traditional equipment, and plenty of spirited competition. Bring a blanket or lawn chair and cheer on your team in the heart of historic Zoar—America’s pastime, just as it used to be!

Discover the location of historic barns, gardens, and tools, and learn how communal farming practices sustained the village and shaped its unique way of life. A fascinating look at how hard work, shared labor, and the land helped build one of Ohio’s most remarkable historic settlements.
