Site Director Tammi Shrum Receives the Zeisberger Heckwelder Award

Zoar and Fort Laurens Site Director, Tammi Shrum, is one of this year’s recipients of the Zeisberger Heckwelder Award! Over the past 10 years, she has played a pivotal role in the creation of many of our major exhibits, programs, and events, and is truly deserving of this honor. Congrats to Tammi and to the other winners of this prestigious award!

New Grants Expand Zoar Tours and Programming

The Zoar Community Association recently received two grants to expand Zoar’s programming:

Greenwald Fund: This will be used for braille interpretation of Historic Zoar Village, including braille materials and maps for the buildings incorporated in the existing audio tour.

The Henry and Louise Timken Foundation: This will be used for the upcoming Zoar and the Presidents events to be put towards the presenters and student materials.

We are so thankful for the generosity of these organizations and are excited to use these funds to enhance the quality and accessibility of our general tours and event programming.
